National Fire Safety Week Competition for Primary Schools
Every year Cork County Council’s Fire Service runs a Primary Schools Fire Safety Programme. Due to current restrictions it has not been possible to visit schools to deliver this programme in the usual way. Instead, the Fire Service in conjunction with National Fire Safety Week 2020 from the 5 th to 11 th October, is running a competition for primary school children in County Cork. This year the theme for Fire Safety Week is “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives”. The competition runs from Monday 7 th September to Monday 5 th October with winners to be announced during National Fire Safety Week. Each week a selection of submitted art work will be featured on the Cork County Fire Service Facebook page .
